okay, i've been listening to the biscuits as my primary band for over a decade. i'm not one of those people who walk out of every show raving about how fantastic it was--i'm actually a bit of a music snob--if they don't really turn it on, and play that magic funk that just MAKES you dance--makes EVERYONE in the place dance until the floor is bouncing, well, i'm not afraid to say i was let down. but this show is great. i've just started downloading off archives.org in the past month, and had low hopes for quality of recordings, and expected it to be full of false raves of people who can't say a bad word about anything the biscuits do, and peoples' head who were so full of drugs that they couldn't help but think it was the best show ever, or of the tour, or whatever. but every show i've downloaded--20 or so, randomly picked by 4 1/2-5 star ratings, and the number of downloads, at least in the several thousand range, has been above my wildest expectations. i guess after growing up in the era of scratchy Dead bootlegs my sights were set low, but this show, and everyone that has a 5 star rating, has been ear candy. the band is on the money in this show, from song one. not EVERY song rocks, but that's rarely the case. the jams all GO someplace, not just guitar and keyboard jams that get faster and build with a false bravado--they warp and twist and shoot off the launch pad. check this out, and you will not be disappointed. enjoy. i know i am.

No one ever called Barber a Celine Dion, but I don't go to and listen to Bisco shows to hear him sing. I do it to hear him shred like a motherfucker on that Gibson, which he does on quite a regular basis (no pun intended).
Speaking of Basis, this show has a great one. In fact, the whole second set is stellar, esp the Crix>Shem-Rah>Crix.
Right there with 5/7 for best of '04

set 2 is jawdropping, SRB>Crix is amazing and the basis is ungodly. Lost among this is set 1, which is probably the most underrated set in '04, Vassillios>RC, Spacebird, & Shelby are all smoking. This is easily my favorite show of '04 and the rec'd is crystal clear

Yo, the 2nd set of this show is some SERIOUS BISCUITS. BASIS, CRIX>SHEM-RAH>CRIX>VOICES. This set is a MUST HAVE, which, in turn, makes this show a MUST HAVE for biscuit fans. Thank you Kevin Hughes, great recording, too!
